Ideas to try...

1. Change the background
   
2. Choose your Christmas tree
   
3. Create some decorations (New sprites) For more challenge try making the decorations appear on the Elfs' hand and then animate the decorations to move into position.
   
4. Animate the decorations
   
5. Add some music to play with the animation
   
6. Try adding some animated snow effects
